Departure time: 5:30 a.m.

ROUTE: Chasing the light of dawn, the compass points south towards San Francisco de Santa Cruz. Through mountains and rivers, we enter the beautiful Ruta del Sol, reaching the highest point of the competition, passing through La Florida and La Alemania to San Juanillo. From here, the Pacific Ocean becomes our guide, skirting beaches such as Lagarto and Pargos, until we reach Avellanas, finally ending the adventure when we arrive at Hacienda Pinilla.

ROUTE: In search of freedom, the route heads north towards Flamingo. A challenging gravel road crosses Bejuco and Tempate, leading cyclists to the impressive view of Flamingo. From Brasilito, the Pacific Ocean becomes our companion as we skirt spectacular beaches on our way to Tamarindo. Through hidden trails and paths once traveled by pirates, we enter Las Baulas Marine Park, finally reaching our destination at Hacienda Pinilla.

ROUTE: Cycling north, the wind in your face and the first rays of sun mark the beginning of the adventure. The route takes us to Portegolpe, where we turn left towards Huacas, enjoying smooth, 100% rideable roads until we reach Matapalo. With more than 50% of the route completed, the compass now points south, towards Tamarindo. From there, a secret trail near Las Baulas Marine Park combines the spirit of Ride and Roll—a mixture of freedom, speed, and connection with the land and sea—before completing the challenge and reaching the long-awaited goal at Hacienda Pinilla.
